Kal Akal Siri Kal Maha Akal Akal Moorat (Waheguru)

Recently, a question arose about the correct mantra to recite while carrying the Siri Guru Granth Sahib during Sukhasan at the end of our Gurdwara ceremonies.  For many years, the Espanola Gurdwara mostly chanted "Kal Akal Siri Akal Maha Akal Akal Moorat Waheguru".  However, this mantra does not exist in any manuals or anywhere online.  Alternatively, the mantra "Kal Akal Siri Kal Maha Akal Akal Moorat (Waheguru)" is listed in the KRI Teacher Training manual and was recorded by Guru Shabad Singh at the Siri Singh Sahib's request.  Additionally, Los Angeles Gurdwara kirtanis only play "Kal A

July 2022 Numerology Forecast

The month of July grants and encourages a time to shelter away from the world, while shifting into “rest and restore” mode. The year so far has been experienced as a near constant stream of overwhelm, and by virtue of human design we need to create a balance of ease and flow within ourselves.

Contracting COVID

Dear Sangat,
I have recently had COVID (most likely the Omnicron variant). You may be interested in hearing about what I experienced and learned.

I am a yogi, my body is 50 years old and generally in good health. I had two Pfizer vaccine shots (and unfortunately had not received the booster). The media suggested that the Omnicron may be “milder” than the Delta variant. That was not my experience.

As I left the Sunday Gurdwara service, Yogi Bhajan and a number from the Darbar accompanied me to my car (an old Subaru with tinted glass). The car was parked near the west entry to the Gurdwara. Yogi Bhajan asked what was in the back of my car. I said, “Nothing important, Sir.”  Yogi Bhajan laughed and instructed security to search my car.

Khalsa Family Farms

Every Tuesday the Farm Stand opens at 12 noon and for the next two hours 30-40 excited people wait with masks on to pick up their freshly harvested vegetables. Most of them order on Khalsa Family Farms online store, and some just drop by to purchase whatever vegetables are displayed at the Farm Stand.
