Gurdwara Langar

What is Langar?

"The Langar  or free kitchen  was started by the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev  Ji.  For the first time in history, Guruji designed an institution in which all people would sit on the floor together, as equals, to eat the same simple food. It is here that all people high or low, rich or poor, male or female, all sit in the same pangat  (literally "row" or "line") to share and enjoy eating together."

Tuesdays & Thursdays - 12:30 pm
We serve langar to all sangat and community members in our Langar Hall. We usually have a revised schedule during Summer and Winter Solstices.

Sundays - approximately at 1:00pm
We also serve a free langar immediately following our Sunday Gurdwara services in our langar hall. All are invited to share in this meal.

How You Can Participate!

You can now donate directly to the Guru Amar Das Corporation account which will support our Sunday Langars! Giving on a monthly basis assures us of the ability to buy organic and bulk ingredients, upgrade our kitchen equipment and build a more sustainable langar program for the sangat. Please consider signing up for a recurring donation on a monthly basis to help us better serve the entire sangat.
