Numerology Forecast for January 2026

By Nam Hari Kaur

Welcome to 2026, a year of achievement, revelation, and a near non-stop wave of innovation and new technologies. If you’re looking for a fresh start, it’s here for you in 2026.

2026 adds up to a number 10 year, and is supported by the number 8, which is the Gift number for the year (Gift is last two digits, 2+6=8). Both the numbers 10 and 8 create an atmosphere of forward momentum, along with a sense of “I just know there’s more for me out there!”

Number 10 represents the themes of authority, control, radiance, self-respect, the nervous system and skeletal structure, and the ability to righteously command one’s own self. Number 10 proclaims, “I’m the Boss!” and takes a back seat to no one. Now, all this is good and well, as long as this bold new attitude is within the scope of your personal domain. Where things can, and will, get dicey is when people start acting out in a domineering attitude towards others. We witnessed this quite heavily in the last quarter of 2025, and it is having a springboard effect into this year.

If I were to give you one motto for the year, it would be “Choose your battles wisely.” Energy is the most precious commodity on the planet, and you cannot afford to diminish yourself by wasting your pranic life force. If you notice white caps on the sea of life as you step out the front door, align with the wisdom of the Tibetans, and remember, “The best armor is to stay out of range.”

Now that we’ve set a certain framework for the year, let’s take a look at the month of January. Really good news here, as January gives us time to redirect ourselves to the higher ground. We have a Base number of 11 in the mix (Base is month of 1 + year of 10 = 11), and number 11 asks us to aspire higher. We will be experiencing a last minute reset before feeling fully present in the new year, as number 11 is connected to our relationships—as in friend, neighbor, relative, work colleague, spouse, etc. When you become perfectly clear that you are no longer willing to accept the drag-effect of codependent or toxic relationships, a whole new field of dreams will open up for you.

Sneak Preview: the month of February has an accelerated-connectivity-magnet in its energetic field, so if you enhance your Radiant Body good things will unfold before you.

“How can I enhance my Radiant Body?” you might ask. Great news here, as we’ve always got the answer to that in the Kundalini Yoga science!

The “3 Stroke Breath for Health, Energy, and Radiance” is our direct line to sparking a brand new attitude and having the energy to sustain it. Link It is a way to cut back the creeping vines of the past that would keep us in the shadow realm of doubt and uncertainty. The Yogis say, “We are responsible for our health and energy. We must be radiant. And (the) breath, Pavan, is the source of life.” Get your pranic life force energized now, and step into February with a twinkle in your eye and magic in your pocket. It really is time, isn’t it?

Number 10 is the archetype of the King, the Queen, or the Warrior. One of my most favorite moments in film is from “The Hunger Games.” Katniss Everdeen is being tested for her level of expertise in archery, and the pressure is on. The snobbish Elites stand watching, safely perched in a high balcony viewing area. Katniss draws her bow and releases the arrow. It misses the mark, as she is not familiar with the tension and arc of how this particular bow performs. The Elites see this, and sneeringly disregard her and turn away. Recognizing that she is now in an “All or Nothing” situation, Katniss moves with stealth and precision as she draws another arrow and aims it at the balcony dining table of the Elites. The arrow pierces an apple that is propped in a pig’s mouth, and the Elites drop dead silent after witnessing her feat. In an air of commanding reserve, she faces the Elites and says, “For your consideration.”

Where am I going with this? A number 10 year will always test us in some way. It will test our courage, dignity, and ability to bounce back from setbacks. At times it will require us to form a new game plan on-the-spot, and effectively respond to changing circumstance. Does your nervous system have the capacity for these rapid-fire adjustments? Ten is the nervous system, so start brewing up the ginger tea and chopping up the organic celery for your salad. Blend powerhouse nutrition into your diet, and you will have the resilience you need for the days ahead.

The number 1 of January represents initiative spirit, and a healthy balance between the head and the heart. We can easily find ourselves vacillating between these two polarities, as the emotions of the heart will at times try to override the common sense of the intellect. Similarly, the cool if not sometimes cold intellect may at times try to diminish the realm of the heart, particularly when it comes to other people’s feelings. A helpful safeguard against either of these polarities is to give any important decision appropriate time and space before setting anything in stone. Also, do not let yourself get pressured or bullied into a snap decision. Aggression will be peaking at times throughout the year, and once someone else thinks you are locked into a commitment, it can turn into an unpleasant battle to break free.

Having a response such as, “I can see how important this is to you, and I think you deserve a definitive answer. My schedule clears towards the end of next week, and I should be able to respond by then.” This approach gives you a lot of breathing room, without actually committing to anything.

Giving yourself breathing room is another keynote feature of 2026. The last two digits of the year add up to an 8, which is the breath and Pranic Body. Working with your breath and being mindful at points in the day to breathe deeply will help you to fight off fatigue. Everything can feel like a lot these days; however, with a strong Pranic Body we can always rise above.

Ask yourself the question, “How will I sustain myself and rise above?” The ability to sustain one’s self in these times is a precious gift. You are the one in control of this gift, so be generous to yourself.

Ten is the number of mountains, and when you are climbing a sheer rock face you employ something called a “cam.” A cam is a small device that is placed into a rock crevice in order to secure the rope lines and prevent a fall. If one cam by chance should fail, there are a series of backup cams to ensure you don’t take a tumble down the mountain. What’s your backup cam, and what’s your backup plan? Did you get your meditation in this morning? Got your ginger tea brewed to take to work with you? Did you pencil in the Zumba dance class later in the day so you have something special to look forward to?

Self-sustaining and self-rewarding, these are two cornerstones of a happy 2026. It’s great when others show up to help create a circle of love, but have you noticed lately how checked-out so many people seem to be? It is a sign of the times, and a symptom of the Aquarian Age shift. Let’s not be a part of the zombie apocalypse. Numbing out and self-medicating with substances will not take you where you really want to go. Rest and self-nurturing are better alternatives.

Let us merge into a frequency of connective awareness, mutually holding the space of, “Hey, I see you, and it’s going to be alright.”
