The month of April is a time of transition into new frequencies of exploration, expansion, growth, and an evolutionary urge to break free from the entanglements of the past. That which has been holding us back will now feel like an unbearable burden, and that burden must be cut loose. Once untethered and aligned with a dedicated plan, the higher ground will manifest before you. Step lightly and allow room for adjustments along the way, as we will need to factor in the number 5, the wild card number, to the equation. More on that later in the forecast.
The number 4 of April represents the themes of process, structure, order, the Neutral Mind, work or service, and having a heart that marches to the beat of its own drum. Our hearts will be speaking to us now, and it is important to listen to where you are feeling the pinch of others’ restrictive energies. Engaging in a dialogue of, “I know you’re used to doing things the same way to ensure the same results, but I’d like to try a more creative approach. Can you give me some breathing room on this?” This type of neutral and inclusive dialogue will help to quell someone else’s potential insecurity. Number 4 represents words, the actual words that we choose to speak. Having an increased awareness of your word choices now is actually quite important. We all have had the experience of setting someone off with certain “buzz words” or phrases. This is often a childhood issue, and there’s no way you’re going to fix that in the heat of the moment. The better option is to adjust yourself and work around the quicksand pit. Discretion is the better part of valor.
Okay, now it’s time to explore the crux of the evolutionary curve for April, the 5/14 combo in the Base calculation (Base is month of 4 + year of 10 = 14 = 5). Number 5 is the Earth Element, and 5 also represents the themes of change, travel, the physical body, communication, and freedom. These are all good things. However, this 5 is by way of karmic number 14, which has a different story to tell. Number 14 can be explosive and disruptive, bringing chaos and upheaval. Fourteen has an edge to it and is a “tempest in a teapot” when provoked. This can manifest in an aggressive style of communication, or worst-case scenario, violence. A good rule of thumb this month is, “Just don’t get into it.” Walk away, step away, and avoid situations that you see are about to bubble and boil over. Better yet, feel the heat before you see the bubbles, and avoid the emotional spatter of others’ outrage.
The heat (temperature) on the planet will be spiking as well, so get that coolant into the radiator of your car. Also, do a safety check around the house for anything connected to electricity and cooling systems. Make sure the circuit breakers are not overloaded, and do a property check to ensure that your garden hoses can reach every area around your home. The Fire Element will be fierce this summer, and summer is starting early. Get your house in order, and create a system/ structure which insures that a spark does not have the chance to turn into a flame.
Now, let’s explore the bright side of the number 5 this month, because there is a sunny side of the street here. A brilliant example of courage under fire is embodied in a group of young women called the “Black Mambas.” In the heart of Africa these women have rallied together to fight against poachers and the extinction of wildlife in their native land. After 4 weeks of military- style training, they begin patrolling a large wildlife preserve, looking for traps and snares the poachers have set. The Black Mambas are primarily unarmed, and learn to work through their
presence and communication skills. However, when necessary, armed backup is available. They also have an outreach educational program for children in the school system, teaching them the importance of animal conservation and respect for life.
These are all very positive themes of number 5 in action. Physical training, communication skills, freedom for animals, teaching young people, and transforming the culture towards empowerment and respect for women. Go Black Mambas!
Another great example of fighting against the restrictive and limiting energy of the number 14 and turning it into a positive 5 is in Copenhagen. In the waters surrounding this city the environmentalists have created “floating islands,” which are small vegetated platforms that provide nesting spaces for birds. These sanctuaries also attract bees and other wildlife, including fish that can shelter beneath the island. The vibrant and scenic islands add an ambiance and beauty to the city and shoreline views.
Here again we see the power of the number 5 over the 14; thinking outside the box for change, expansion, growth, and healing. Also, this contributes to the preservation of their physical world. Where will we go if we trash planet Earth?
All of this translates into the present moment, and can inspire a new sense of possibility towards our view of the world. Where do we individually need to think outside the box and transform our own lives? Five represents endurance, not just on a physical level, but emotionally and spiritually as well. We need an enhanced skill set to traverse the remainder of the year, and one tool that you want in your back pocket is the “Eight Stroke Breath for Energy and Stress Relief.” It is said of this meditation that, “Eleven minutes a day of eight-stroke breathing can give you enough energy to balance your (daily) consumption of (pranic) life and take you out of stress.” This is a good deal. Link. An 11-minute investment in yourself that will bring a balance to your physical being and energize your spirit. Got 11 minutes? Yes, you do!
The intensity of the times is not changing in the near future, so it is beholden upon us to maintain a mindset that surpasses this challenge. A soda can with nothing inside it is easily crushed by a small child. A soda can that is full, sealed, and secure at the top is nearly impossible for most adults to crush with one hand. Be the full, sealed, and secure you. Set your boundaries, and know where you need to say “No!” to that which would disrupt your ability to stay on an even keel. Five represents balance, as it is the midpoint between the numbers 1 and 10. If someone approaches you with a duty, obligation, or favor they want you to lock into, ask yourself the question, “Will I be able to maintain my balance throughout this journey, and is there a calculated risk involved?” Follow your gut instinct, as there are many types of poachers in the world. Additionally, there are some people who want your energy as a personal prize.
If you would like to have a little inspiration for steering through this month, watch the 1998 Golden Globe nominated film “Elizabeth,” starring Cate Blanchett. Based on a true story, it depicts the young Lady Elizabeth navigating a dangerous journey against near impossible odds. There was treachery and deceit ready to meet her around every corner, and yet, by her own instincts and right alliances, she managed to not just stay alive, but to rise up and rule the nation. You won’t forget this one.
We are in epic times, and as much as the events of the day may overwhelm and distract us, there is always a way to elevate our spirit. Keep your evolutionary tools close at hand, using them to
fix and heal yourself. Know that as you gain the loft and leverage in your life to rise above, the right connections and alliances will be there for you.
May the Guardian Angels of all that is good, pure, and lovely guide you on the protected path of your life’s fulfillment and destiny. Then with ease, may you have the gracious strength to shine a light of benevolence and goodwill to all whom you meet.
